Triumph, and frustration – the whole life of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay, a Russian scientist, passes in a single moment, the last moment of the mundane existence… Two worlds: the world of civilization, and the world of nature exist in the same time, side by side on the same planet, but it seems that the distance between them is greater than the distance between the Earth and the Moon. The film makes use of the sketches and journals of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay, whom the Papuans named “Man from the Moon” and worshiped as a deity.

Film was shot with the financial support of the State Committee for Cinematography of Russian Federation.
