The film is based on the Anglo-Saxon epic of the end of the VII-BEGINNING of the VIII centuries AD. Beowulf, a young warrior from the people of the geats, learned of the disaster that had befallen the king of the Danes, Higelak — the monster Grendel attacked the royal palace of Gevort. Brave young man goes overseas to join the monster in a battle.
